If you're like me, you may initially discount this book as yet another offering from the self help profession focussed on the maladies of stress, anger and depression. Unfortunately this publication is poorly titled. In fact, it is a thorough report on the author's investigation into the mind-body connection, the role that language plays in contributing to our state of mind and relationships, and ultimately about how we learn. Everyone can benefit from the authors perspective in these three areas. I turn to this book again and again, because it is filled with straightforward explanations for the most vexing communication problems, and practices to overcome them. I?m reading it now straight through for the second time.
