| Others talk about directedfocusTM In their own words, some people I've worked with tell you how the concept of directedfocus has helped them see themselves and their world differently - and what kind of a difference that has made for them. Our business has embarked on a process of preparation to acquire three competitors in other states, to expand our capabilities to meet our competition from larger businesses here in Australia and Overseas. The processes, checks and balances provided, have changed the way we do business, given us new insights into what issues we need to address before we commence our plan and the confidence to negotiate better acquisition terms. Our business would not be where it is without the insights, knowledge and accountability provided by Andrew and his team. - Don and Sally Davis - Manufacturers Helen and I decided to sell our business, which was a difficult decision to make given our children weren't interested in becoming involved in our work. We discussed with our friends the decision and a couple said "get your business in order first of all". What this meant was simple to say but difficult to know what to do. We knew what it meant when it came to property but within our business, that was way different. We worked with Andrew to "clean up the mess", find a wonderful family to take over the reins and we are now part owners, with five others, one the operator, of an exciting business. - Graham and Helen - Former manufacturing/retailing Our bank refused to support a growth opportunity that was a "no brainer". Who cares now? Not us! We got rid of the mortgage, the director's guarantee, the constant phone calls and the stress. This isn't for every one or every business. It just works for us. We have both stepped down and replaced ourselves with an invogorated management team and are now working on "creating a bigger future for ourselves and our business" as Andrew described it to us. This may not work for you but it's worth finding out. - Mark and John - Fabricators, wholesalers and retailers. We had our business listed for sale for $600,000 with a business broker, who told us it was fair value. We are now negotiating with two buyers for $1.4 million. Where did the value come from? It was already there. And sadly the broker couldn't care and didn't know. We have been able to better communicate what the business is about, we've explained about the lower risk and how our systems work, how the staff knowedge and care system retains customers. - Mary and James - Automotive service business I'm at the top of my game technically but when it came to communicating what I do for people I felt uncomfortable. Marketing yourself as a health professional is a real challenge as "health professionals don't market". I discovered whether they do or don't - they do. I've also discovered I can now communicate with clarity around my core passions in a great coversational manner and I'm now in a great space with loads of great patients who refer others to me. - Anne - Alternative Health Professional
I'll make this brief as I don't believe in bullshit. We've been working with Andrew for 5 months and our last 3 months profit is more than our last 3 years profit. I was most hesitant when I heard the word "catalyst" when I first talked to Andrew at a social function (a trendy term for someone who does nothing and charges you heaps). We met for a chat a week later, and I should say I faced some very pointed questions about my business that I had no ready answers to. After using some remarkably simple calculations, using our existing records, Andrew showed me that our decline in profits wasn't what I thought and the real issue was we were only billing 40% of our available hours.
