Everyone Is a Leader to Someone Print E-mail

If you think “leadership” is a concept that only applies to certain people in business, government or community organizations, think again!

Everyone is a leader to someone. Whether that someone be an employee (or thousands of employees), your spouse, a child, or at the simplest level, oneself; you are a leader. - Tracy Brinkmann

Brilliant words Tracy.

Why is the "nanny state" alive and well?

This week there has been a lot of words spoken and written about the children of Australia being stopped from being children. They are not allowed to play children's games because of the possibility of legal action being taken against their school.

What can be done to overcome this issue?

I'm not about to advise you of the words to use or what specific action to take but, whether it's your children, your community or your business, so many times people need to take a leadership stance.

The plain fact is – no matter what our age, gender, occupation, education level, or position in life – each of us touches and influences other lives ... each of us is a leader to someone.

Leaders question the status quo, they stand up for common sense and principles. That leader (someone) could be an employee (or a group of employees) who work for you. But it can also be a customer you serve…a spouse you honor or a child you nurture ... a relative you care for ... or a friend you care about ... a student you teach or a player you coach.

That’s why leadership is something we all must be concerned with, and why leadership applies to you!

Someone is counting on you for leadership.
Please don’t let him, her, or them down.
