Celebrate Small Wins Print E-mail

During the last couple of weeks I have observed and been involved in some wide variations of highs and lows of success and the not so successful.

This all got me thinking

Why is it that it takes a big win for us to celebrate but a small failure for us to get upset?

Three key points come to mind here

  • Failures are the stepping stones to success
  • It’s not that we fail that matters … it’s that we get up afterwards.
  • The bend in the road is not the end of the road.

There are many more similar sayings, you could ad to this list, and to me they all point to the fact that small failures shouldn’t mean that much, but they do.

Most of us postpone celebrating small victories as no one else celebrates them, and you wouldn’t want to be seen as being different would you?

So we end up with a major attack of the “sads” when the going goes a little wrong.

But we aren’t game to celebrate the equivalent win.

My question to you and your business …

When was the last time you celebrated a small victory?

May be it’s time for a celebration
